Broadening young people’s horizons in every sense
As part of our belief in the importance of access to the natural environment and commitment to rounded approaches to learning and development of young people, The Altenburg Foundation is financing a hiking programme for young Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Working through our partners at The Alsama Project, each month a group of young people will leave the challenging confines of their urban camp settlement and head to the mountains of Lebanon for fresh air, exercise, challenge and personal development – broadening horizons in every sense.
